Grades 6-12
Committees
A committee is a group of five to fifteen girls who plan anything from events to newsletters. In fact, our very own Web committee created the Grades 6-12 Web site section! Girl committee members make a one-year commitment to meet once or twice a month to work together, and some committees have assignments to work on at home in between meetings.
There are several reasons to join a committee. You can make a difference in Girl Scouting and voice your opinions. You make new friends, have fun and earn volunteer/leadership hours. Committees are a great way to get more involved in Girl Scouting and can open up many other opportunities for you.
Take the committee quiz below to find out which committees are available and find out which one is best suited for you!
For more information about committees available at the council level, contact our S.A.I.L. program specialist.
